Preview, participants and timetable (O)NK Sidecars Oldebroek!
This Saturday the second ONK Sidecar Masters is on the program at the spectacular circuit “De Bargen” in Oldebroek, with many international crackers at the starting gate. In addition to the Sidecar Masters, the National Championship and Cup class sidecars will also be at the start. The ONK, NK and cup classes within the quads will also be present, making it a packed, beautiful motocross day!
At the ONK Sidecar Masters, leaders Hermans/Van den Bogaart are favorites for the win. In the first race in Oss they clearly had the upper hand. Only Keuben/Rietman were able to stay on track reasonably well and so the most resistance is expected from them. The Leferink brothers also had a strong performance, finishing third twice in Oss. The speed is certainly there and the top three is worth repeating! Gert van Werven, born in the Oldebroek area, had some bad luck in the 2nd heat in Oss and was therefore unable to make any progress. Now Van Werven/Van der Wiel are keen to score well on the Bargen circuit. Wijers/Van Hal got off to a bad start in Oss, but made the most progress twice in the heats. Who knows what will happen if one is now within the top five after the start?
From overseas, the British Wilkinson/Millard, among others, join the battle. On a good day you can easily conquer the podium places. In addition to Wilkinson, two other British teams will be at the start, as well as a handful of teams from Belgium. The surprising number four from Oss, the German Prümmer with his French baking player Lebraton, is also present and they are eager to advance to podium places in the Dutch sand.
The NK Sidecars start together with the ONK Sidecars and can be recognized by the white number plates. In the NK class, Ruben van Werven is a candidate for victory on his home circuit in Oldebroek. Van Werven/Buitenhuis narrowly won the NK class in Oss ahead of the Barink brothers. The latter came forward very strongly in Oss after a bad start and were just a few points short of knocking Van Werven off the podium as winner. Barink and Van Werven seem to be in no way inferior to each other, so the battle between the sidecars with the white number plates is certainly one to keep an eye on in the background of the ONK Sidecar violence.
In addition to the ONK and NK, the Sidecar Cup will also be at the start again.
In Oss it was Daan van Campen and Indy van der Kolk who took the win like a jack of all trades. This was surprising but certainly not undeserved. The young Achterhoek combination rode solidly to victory in Oss with a first and third place. Will they be able to go for the win again or will another team surprise friend and foe by taking away the win? It is certain that the Cup class sidecar will certainly provide a spectacle on the tough circuit in Oldebroek!
In the quad classes, all eyes in the ONK are on Julian Veldman, who took his first ONK win in Oss. His competitors will do everything they can to knock 'the frog' off the highest podium.
The training sessions start at 8.30 am and around 11.15 am the starting gate falls for the first of a total of 10 heats that the spectators will see.
