Vialle wins again and grabs redplate
Tom Vialle has a taste of it as the Frenchman wins again in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship 250SX East Coast. The KTM rider wins the fourth race of the season ahead of Cameron McAdoo and his teammate Seth Hammaker. Max Anstie comes back strongly after a poor start, but while riding in sixth place he suffers engine trouble. Vialle is the new leader in the championship, one point ahead of McAdoo.
Despite the bad weather forecast and the amount of rain that has already fallen, the circuit is in good condition. In the final, Daxton Bennick seems to get the best start, but he goes wide. Jeremy Martin sneaks in and wins the Holeshot Award ahead of Vialle and Chance Haymas. Vialle takes the lead on the first rhythm section while McAdoo works his way from seventh to third place! A mistake by Martin gives McAdoo second place, but Vialle already has a small lead. With the Triumph, Jakel Swoll also passes Martin and in the first half of the race Triumph seems to be taking a podium place. However, a small mistake causes him to fall and have to be satisfied with sixth place. McAdoo tried to get back in touch with leader Vialle, but the Kawasaki rider was unable to do so. The danger comes from Hammaker who continues to push, but the duo no longer changes positions. Pierce Brown crosses the finish line in fourth ahead of Martin.
Next week the championship travels to Indianapolis where the points will be split at Lucas Oil Stadium.
