Tom Vialle takes his first victory!
At Daytona, Tom Vialle achieved his first major success in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship 250SX East Coast. The KTM rider wins the third race of the season ahead of Cameron McAdoo and his teammate Seth Hammaker. Max Anstie does not get further than eighth place, but he remains the leader in the standings, followed by just one point. Pierce Brown and McAdoo, Haiden Deegan are fourth in the standings, three points behind the leader.
The best start in the final over 15 minutes and 1 lap seems to be for McAdoo, but Deegan slips through to the lead. The Yamaha rider is followed by McAdoo, Hammaker and Jeremy Martin who is back after his injury. Vialle doesn't have a good start and enters the first corner around tenth place! Heegan tries to regain the lead, but McAdoo doesn't allow it. The Star Racing driver then also makes a mistake that allows Hammaker to pass him. The two-time world champion then warms up and works his way up to second place. A small mistake by McAdoo causes the Kawasaki rider to lose the lead and Vialle is no longer surprised. The Frenchman wins his first Supercross ahead of McAdoo and Hammaker, who is still under pressure from Deegan. However, last week's winner makes a mistake and ends up fourth ahead of Pierce Brown.
Next week the championship travels to Birmingham for another fixture on the calendar.
