Kay Karssemakers about his return to the World Cup
After a year of absence from the FIM MX2 World Championship, Kay Karssemakers made his return last weekend. Last season the Brabander finished second in the EMX250, which meant he was picked up by Fantic. The 19-year-old rider talks about the Spanish Grand Prix where he managed to score three points.
Kay Karssmakers:
“It was a difficult weekend in Arroyomolinos, but I expected that after a winter period with two injuries. With a DNF-18 in the motos I finished 21st overall. I didn't finish the first moto because another rider took off my rear brake. The second heat was very tough, but luckily I managed to get into the points. These are of course not the results we are aiming for, but from here we can continue to build up to more! Thanks to the Fantic Factory Racing MX2 team, the sponsors and everyone behind me!”
