Heuver the strongest during the Dutch Masters of MX
The first race of the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross 85cc was won by Timo Heuver. Last week Heuver was the strongest in Oss and now he has left his mark on the circuit in Harfsen. The JP Xtreme Xperience rider won both heats ahead of Torre Van mechgelen! The podium was completed by Ricardo Bauer, the Austrian finished third and fifth, making him third in the overall standings.

The only 10-year-old Harry Dale makes the best start, but he quickly passes Hudolejs and Heuver. Keano Maris enters the woods of Harfsen in fourth place ahead of Jeremy Bouchee. The duo at the front distance themselves and compete with each other for the leading position. Heuver manages to win this position definitively in the second round. Dale has now made a mistake and has lost many places. Hudolejs sees his gap to the leader increasing. Halfway through the race, Hudolejs makes a mistake and that puts Van Mechgelen in second place. The big winner two weeks ago in Lierop was Bauer. He didn't get off to the best start, but the Austrian needs some time to get into the game. After 15 minutes he manages to join Jannes Vos and Bouchee. The former EMX65 champion passes both Dutchmen and then chases Van Mechgelen. In the last lap Bauer manages to take over second place, but the rider from Arendonk comes back. He sends his BeTeMo-KTM to second place ahead of Bauer! The 12-year-old Hudolejs, riding for the Hamstra MX Team, managed to finish fourth by passing Bouchee and later Vos. Vos crosses the finish line fifth ahead of Bouchee. The Dane Casey Karstrom comes seventh ahead of the Swiss Emil Ziemer, Latvian Tom Dankters and Ryan Opligger who completes the top ten.

Hudolejs also makes a great start in the second heat. He enters the first corner with an engine length lead. Van Mechgelen follows for Opligger and Heuver. The winner of the first round quickly makes up places and joins Hudolejs. Bauer tries to take over third place from Van Mechgelen, but then the Austrian makes a mistake! After 5 minutes of the race, Heuver takes the lead, but he is unable to break away from his pursuer. In fact, Hudolejs returns to the lead, but a crash throws a spanner in the Latvian's plans. Heuver regains the lead and he also wins the second heat. The battle for second place is fierce all the way to the checkered flag as Bauer and Hudolejs come through their fight at Van Mechgelen. The Belgian is not surprised and he now comes second ahead of Bauer. Hudolejs crashes again in the final phase, resulting in him crossing the finish line in 21st place. Opligger is therefore third ahead of Itay Weinberg and Bauer, who is also in trouble due to Hudolejs' problem. The big but just 12-year-old Aston Allas comes sixth ahead of Karstrom, Ziemer and Vos. Dale from Liverpool completes the top ten.
Next time
This championship will continue in two weeks, on Easter Monday (April 1) the points will be distributed on the beautiful Oldebroek circuit.
