The Wolf shows Langenfelder the way in Spain
Last year, Simon Langenfelder won both heats during the Spanish GP. The German had to settle for second place behind Kay de Wolf today during the “RAM Qualifying Race”. The Husqvarna rider took the lead early in the race and never relinquished it. Langenfelder comes second ahead of Liam Everts, who drives a great race and stays ahead of compatriot Lucas Coenen. Sacha Coenen crosses the finish line in eighth place and Rick Elzinga takes twelfth place, Kay Karssmakers is 15th, Jens Walvoort is good for 20th place and Scott Smulders is 28th.
With the KTM, Sacha Coenen gets the best start ahead of Langenfelder and De Wolf. These two quickly pass the 17-year-old fast starter and Marc-Antoine Rossi also passes the Belgian. De Wolf took the lead on the first lap and never relinquished it. The GasGas driver tries, but there is no real attack. Everts has started this match over 20 minutes and two laps reasonably well and he is working his way forward expertly. He is chased by Lucas Coenen throughout the match. The Belgians come third and fourth respectively. Fifth place seems to go to Andrea Adamo, but the world champion is surprised in the last round, causing Mikkel Haarup to complete the top five.
Tomorrow afternoon at 12:00 PM and 15:00 PM, both heats will be held at the Arroyomolinos circuit. The images can be viewed LIVE via MXGP-TV.com, the Discovery Plus streaming service and the Belgian Play Sports!
