Jeremy and Damien Knuiman for Twenty Racing Suspension in 2024
For the 2024 motocross season, the Knuimannen will ride on GASGAS motorcycles under the Twenty flag. This collaboration was established this week and in addition to the DMOMX, ONK plus competitions, the men will compete in the German ADAC competitions, and where possible they will also participate in some EMX or MX GP competitions.
Twenty owner Berthold Kamps has been a good acquaintance of the gentlemen for years and is very enthusiastic about the progress that the gentlemen have made in recent years. Normally Twenty only has a team for the German supercross competitions and individual personal sponsorship, but saw that team at the end of February. Knuiman were still without a team, he took the initiative and approached GASGAS and other suppliers and in just under 14 days the Twenty Racing Team was created.
The Twenty Racing Suspension store can be found in Bedburg-Hau (near Kleve) in Germany and online at http://www.promax-racing.de of info@promax-racing.de
Berthold Kamps, owner of Twenty and Annika Erpeka, Manager: "We have regular, business and sporting contact with the father and manager Henk Knuiman and heard and followed the results of the boys. During a joint training week in Italy last winter, our interest was aroused even more. Because of their enthusiasm and commitment we saw there, we started to delve deeper into the boys. Astonishingly, we saw the results in the spring during the largest beach race in the world in Le Touquet and we thought “we have to do something with that.”".
Henk Knuiman, manager: "At the end of February, Berthold, Annika and I discussed the plans and put our shoulders to the wheel together. The opportunities they have created for the boys in this short time are incredible. The great thing is that the foundation we had can remain in place and we can continue from here. We are taking steps towards the future, various current sponsors are also responding positively to these developments and are joining us again."
"A number of new renowned companies have also agreed to cooperate with us, which means that despite the short timeframe, we are ready for the new season. This development also means that we have room for a technician within our team."
Jeremy Knuiman, MX1 rider: "Last year things actually went well, but a nasty shoulder injury kept me out of action for a long time. Determined to come back strong, I picked up my training and worked harder than ever before. I was slowed down several times by my trainers, both physically and on the bike, because I wanted too much quickly. Our goal was to perform well during Le Touquet and we achieved this very well with a 5th place."
"From February we started to focus entirely on the cross season and during the first 2 preliminary competitions I was already able to show that I am ready for it, I am looking forward to working with Twenty with motivation!"
Damien Knuiman, MX2 rider: "I look back on a very good 2023 season. The Dutch title in the 125CC class and subsequently becoming champion in the French sand championship 2023/2024 in the 250CC junior class (up to 17 years) is something I would not have dared to dream about beforehand. I'm excited to be able to compete in the entire German ADAC Championship on a GASGAS engine under the Twenty Racing flag. Here I can further develop into an all-round driver and grow together with the new team. Twenty, GASGAS and all other sponsors and supporters thank you for this opportunity."
