Guillen wins in front of his own audience, Van Drunen second
Daniela Guillen won the first race of the FIM WMX World Championship in front of her home crowd. The GasGas rider won both heats on the Arroyomolinos circuit, but she had to go very deep. Lotte van Drunen made it very exciting until the checkered flag, but the Sliedrecht native had to settle for second place twice. Lynn Valk ensures even more Dutch success, the Schmicker Racing driver can climb onto the podium by crossing the finish line in fourth place in both heats.
After a particularly good start, Danee Gelissen finished ninth during the second heat, Shana van der Vlist now crosses the finish line in eleventh. Problems for Courtney Duncan, she only crosses the finish line in 19th place in the second heat.
Not a good weekend for Britt Jans-Beken, who has engine problems that prevent her from finishing the first heat. Unfortunately, the Limburg woman has to watch the second round because her engine cannot be repaired.
