VIDEO: A test with the Yamaha YZ250
The 2024 model of the Yamaha YZ250 is an outlier. Nothing changed compared to the previous model, except for the graphics: You can now choose them with a retro look because the brand is celebrating its 50th anniversary of the YZ model series.
And yet it is an outsider, precisely because this Yamaha has hardly changed since 2005. Okay, there were some minor updates to note, but the two-stroke engine is still that of 2005. This Yamaha is a really comfortable machine and therefore ideal for those who don't have to win MXGP.
It steers razor sharp, has a very nice suspension from Kayaba and has been a beauty for years. Our colleagues from MXA went hard on the throttle of the YZ in Glen Helen. You can see what they thought of it below.
