Roczen wins, Jett Lawrence back in the lead
The fifth winner in six races, Ken Roczen is the winner in Glendale. The German wins the sixth round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship 450SX ahead of Jason Anderson and Jett Lawrence. The Australian is the new leader in the standings because Chase Sexton has to settle for ninth place due to a hand injury.
In the final over 20 minutes and one lap, Roczen takes the best start ahead of Vince Friese and Justin Cooper. Aaron Plessinger slips inside in the sprint to the second corner, followed by Anderson. In his haste to chase the leader, Plessinger makes a mistake and loses many places. Anderson moves into second place as Lawrence and Eli Tomac battle it out. The Honda rider misses the track once and sprints one time too short, but fortunately he does not fall. Tomac has to be satisfied with fourth place ahead of Hunter Lawrence, who achieved his best performance of the season.
The championship continues in Arlington in two weeks.
