The race in Lacapelle-Marival will be a mini-GP
On February 24 and 25, the French Elite Championship will start in Lacapelle Marival, where several MXGP teams will make their final appearance just before the first round of the world championship in Argentina.
The club, which has hosted an international competition for several years, also hosted the French GP in 2021 and plans to do so again in the coming years, but is currently focusing on the French championship. This year they will do so again by organizing the opening round. And this event will get a taste of the GP, as several factory teams have confirmed they will be there to take on the French series' regular protagonists.
So in addition to Gregory Aranda, Pierre Goupillon and Valentin Guillod, Calvin Fonvieille, Tom Guyon, Maxime Desprey, Mathys Boisrame and Mathis Valin, who are riding in the entire championship, we have a number of top teams behind the starting gate with the Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MXGP team (Jago Geerts and Maxime Renaux), the Kawasaki Racing Team (Jeremy Seewer), Negaan Husqvarna Factory Racing (Kay De Wolf, Lucas Coenen, Mattia Guadagnini), Red Bull KTM Factory Racing (Sacha Coenen), Monster Energy Triumph Racing (Mikkel Haarup, Camden McLellan), Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 Team (Thibault Bénistant, Andrea Bonacorsi), F&H Kawasaki (Quentin Prugnières), VRT Yamaha EMX250 Team (Karlis and Janis Reisulis, Ivano Van Erp) and Honda Motoblouz SR (Valentin Guillod, Kevin Horgmo).
