Liam Everts suffers a broken thumb during training in Grevenbroich
This is bad news from the Everts camp with more than two weeks to go before the start of the Motocross World Championship. Liam Everts crashed yesterday during training on the sandy Grevenbroich circuit in Germany and broke his thumb.
According to Het Belang van Limburg, he underwent surgery this afternoon in the Herentals hospital and would miss the start of the World Cup. The Motocross World Championship starts on March 10 in Argentina. Liam Everts won the spring competition in Mantova a few weeks ago and came second in Sommières after the Frenchman Thibault Benistant. He was supposed to be at the start this weekend in Hawkstone Park, but that will not be possible.
