Dakar Rally: Spaniard Carles Falcón dies after crash
Unfortunately, the Dakar Rally experiences another dramatic accident. During the second stage, Spanish motorcyclist Carles Falcón crashed and was taken to hospital with serious injuries. There he was kept in an artificial coma, but died today from his injuries.
Falcón was a member of the Twin Trail Racing Team, participating in the rally for the second time. The team announced today that their driver's injuries proved fatal. This was the news sent to the world by the Team today via Instagram: “The medical team confirmed that the neurological damage caused by cardiovascular arrest at the time of the accident is irreversible."
