Triumph announces US team
After the announcement of the team that will participate in the MX2 World Championship (Mikkel Haarup and Camden McLellan), the American line-up was also announced today.
In the US, Joey Savatgy, Jalek Swoll, and Evan Ferry will compete for the Triumph Racing Team in the AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross competition in 2024. Good old Mike Brown will work as a trainer within the team. Savatgy will compete in the AMA Nationals starting in May, while Swoll and Ferry can be seen in the 250SX East series in a few weeks.
Joey Savatgy: “Being part of Triumph Racing is very special. For where I am now in my career, it gives me the opportunity to race again on factory equipment, proving to myself that I am still a title contender. As the Triumph is a brand new bike I expected it would take a while to get used to it, but it was actually very quick and easy. The chassis in particular feels soft, making the motorcycle very easy and comfortable to ride. The base engine platform is a great place to work from and I am excited to start this new chapter in my career.”
Jalek Swoll: “I am super excited to be part of Triumph Racing. I'm starting a new chapter in my racing career with a great group of people and we've been working hard on it with the whole team. My first impressions of the bike were great. I feel really comfortable on it and I know it is capable of great things. I've been working hard on it with our team trainer Mike Brown and I'm focused on the podium. There will certainly be fireworks when we go racing and it's great to be making a piece of history with Triumph Racing. I'm ready to go racing and I'm excited for 2024.”
Evan Ferry: “It is truly an honor to race for such a great brand and their new racing team. To be one of the first people to ride, let alone race, this new bike is an amazing feeling. I'm so excited to race this bike in 2024 and I expect to compete with the other factory riders. The whole Triumph Racing team is great and we have the best staff and mechanics in the industry. Overall, I'm super excited to be a part of this program. I have everything I need to be successful and I can't wait for the new season to start.”
