The best motocross riders ever
If you have a sport that has been played for many years, there are always many fantastic practitioners. This is of course also the case with motocross. It is therefore not easy to make a list of the best motocross riders of all time, as there are always a few riders who are left out while they actually deserve a place on this list. Still, in this article we have done our best to bring together the best motocross riders in a handy overview, just like you do with Compare insurance policies on Switching.
Stefan Everts
When we talk about the best motocross riders of all time, we should definitely start the list with Stefan Everts. This rider is considered the very best ever and achieved many successes during his career for Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki and KTM. For example, Everts is the only motocross rider to win the World Championship on all four brands from Japan. In total, he even managed to win this title 10 times, while Everts also finished first in 101 Grand Prix races.
Joel Robert
Joël Robert was one of the most gifted natural riders in the sport. He made his debut in the European Motocross Championship in the early 250s. A few years later he won the 1968cc World Championship, becoming the youngest motocross rider ever to win this prize. He repeated this trick in 1969 and 250. He won the 1970cc Grand Prix Championship in 1971, 1972 and XNUMX after switching to Suzuki. Ultimately, Robert won a GP fifty times during his career.
Bob Hannah
When you saw Bob Hannah riding, you often hoped that he would have one motorcycle insurance had closed. The American often seemed to lose control of the wheel, but he always found the balance. His aggressive driving style worked well and earned him the nickname Hurricane Hannah. He won many prizes over the years and was the face of American motocross for many years. This was especially the case in the early 1980s.
Ricky Carmichael
Ricky Carmichael should also definitely be mentioned in a list of the best motocross riders ever. He has now been inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame, which of course says it all. Carmichael is also seen by many fans as the GOAT. That is certainly understandable when you look at his successes. Carmichael won no fewer than 150 matches during his career, which is especially impressive because he was not active for that long.
Ricky johnson
Ricky Johnson was an American who won the national motocross championship in the 20cc class at the age of 250. Unfortunately, he had to retire six years later due to a serious wrist injury. Yet Johnson is seen as the best motocross racer ever, and he won several titles in the 250cc and 500cc classes. For a period, the American even ruled the sport of motocross, but unfortunately his career came to an end early on.
