The 2024 AMPL motocross calendar is here
The AMPL clubs approved a first version of the sports calendar for the 2024 season. They had come together for the federation's annual general meeting this Friday evening in Lavacherie.
New for the coming season is that almost all events will be held over two days. “Organizing one day has become complicated due to the number of drivers and categories,” explains chairman Laurent Lacasse. “We live on the edge all day long and the smallest hiccup in the organization causes delays that we can no longer make up for.”
“In fact, we only had a few one-day events left this year, so we thought it was time to push our clubs to organize a two-day event, even though we realize that this is not necessarily easy for all organisers. Some clubs, such as Honville and Bastogne, have yet to confirm that they can meet this new requirement.”
For the time being, a calendar of 20 organizations (to which one more organization will be added) was approved on Friday evening. The club of Libin will open the 2024 season of the federation on Saturday, March 23, while Moircy, which is used to getting away from the dance, will host the final of the championship on September 28 and 29.
