Duncan wins the title, Valk wins the last heat
The last round of the FIM WMX World Championship was won by Lynn Valk. De Nijverdal won the second round on the Afyonkarahisar circuit ahead of Courtney Duncan and Sara Anderson. That is more than enough for the New Zealander to win the world title for the fourth time. The Kawasaki rider also wins the last GP of the season ahead of Valk (4-2) and Larissa Papenmeier (2-4). Shana van der Vlist completes the top five during the second heat and thus also secures tenth place in the final standings!
Daniela Guillen and Lotte van Drunen had a poorer second round, but the ladies finished second and third respectively in the final standings. Britt Jans-Beken is eighth in the final standings, Van der Vlist is tenth ahead of Danee Gelissen.
