VIDEO: The first images of the 250cc Triumph engine
Triumph Motorcycles has released new details about the chassis and engine development of its highly anticipated dirt bike, ahead of its launch later this year.
Ambassador Ricky Carmichael: “This bike has its own identity and I think one of the best things about it is the way it has been designed and developed, allowing riders of very different abilities to ride the bike. It is light and compact and the power delivery is great for all types of riders.”
The video features a number of Triumph Racing's leading managers, engineers and test riders involved in the development of the new bike, including Bobby Hewitt, Dave Arnold, Ivan Tedesco, Stephen 'Scuba' Westfall from the SuperMotocross team and Vincent Bereni from the MX2 team.
Hardly any technical details are released, which may come when the complete Triumph dirt bike is presented. There will be a new presentation on September 5 where Ricky Carmichael will test the engine.
