Arnhem is ready!
In recent weeks and especially in the last few days, we have been working very hard at Motorsportpark Gelderland Midden to get everything in order for next weekend's MXGP. The track is in perfect condition. If necessary, spraying is done to prevent dust formation. Yesterday all the major teams arrived at the circuit to settle in. Some people need even more space than others, because in addition to large trucks on which a large tent is hung for the mechanics to work on the engines, many teams also bring hospitality to receive their guests.
It is the first time that an MXGP will be held at Motorsportpark Gelderland Midden. The circuit has existed since 2016. The initiative for the new accommodation was taken by Dik van Wikselaar, who was closely involved in the Harskamp cross circuit. When that circuit had to disappear and the Arnhem track also closed, he let his cross heart speak and built Motorsportpark Gelderland Midden from the ground. Van Wikselaar is not only the man behind the circuit, he is also the one who took the initiative to bring the Dutch Grand Prix to his circuit. He works closely with Maarten Roos, who organized the Valkenswaard Grand Prix for many years.
The timetable has been changed several times, but now it is final. The free practices start on Saturday at 09.30:12.30 AM, the timed practices at 15.00:250 PM, after which the ladies open the competition program at 2:09.40 PM, followed by the EMX250 and the MX2 and MXGP qualifying races. On Sunday at 11.30 am the second round of the EMX13.15 will take place, followed by the warm-up for the MX2 and MXGP and then at 14.15 am it will be the ladies' turn for their second round. After the opening by BBB politician Caroline van der Plas, the afternoon program will start at 16.10:2 PM with the MX17.10 and then the MXGP (XNUMX:XNUMX PM). The second heats start at XNUMX:XNUMX PM (MXXNUMX) and XNUMX:XNUMX PM (MXGP).
