Amber Simons takes victory in Groesbeek
The first competition after the summer break was also on the program for the women's class in Groesbeek. This was also the last preparation match for the ladies for the IMBA final match in Kersbeek, Belgium this coming weekend. It was Amber Simons who immediately managed to take the holeshot and never relinquished it. Championship leader Britt van der Werff was third at the start and managed to move up to second place on the second lap. This time there was no attack on Simons. Simons did not give Van der Werff a chance and Van der Werff crossed the finish line twenty seconds behind Simons. Lynn Kelders was in second place in the first round. She had Kaylee van Dam right behind her for the entire heat. She managed to keep Van Dam behind her to see the checkered flag in third place. Van Dam finished fourth and guest driver Lynn Snoek completed the top five. The second heat was cancelled.
