McElrath wins the 250SX in Birmingham
Shane McElrath won the first race of the FIM 250SX World Championship at Birmingham's Villa Park. The Yamaha rider won two of the three heats during the opening race. Max Anstie (2-1-2) climbed onto the podium in front of his own audience, followed by Enzo Lopes (4-3-4). The second match was on the calendar for France, but the match in Lyon has been canceled. The championship will not continue in Singapore for almost three months.
