Dutch IMBA Ladies also rule in Austria
On Sunday, June 25, the second competition of the IMBA Women's Class took place in Feldkirch, Austria. Just like during the first match, it was the Dutch ladies who determined the match picture. The day's victory went to Jenitty van der Beek. She managed to win all three heats and took the full 180 points. With two second places and a third place in the heats, second place went to championship leader Britt van der Werff.
The best Belgian came in third place. Anaïs Nowakowski managed to take third and fifth place twice in the heats. Amber Simons had a difficult day. Falls in the first and second heats meant that she did not progress further than eighth and fourth place. In the third heat she managed to achieve a nice second place. Another Dutch rider followed in fifth place with Kaylee van Dam. She managed to achieve a fifth and fourth place twice in the heats. In the standings, Can der Werff leads with 36 points ahead of Simons. Van Dam is in third place, after which the best Belgian comes with Nowakowski. Cynthia Swets occupies fifth place, followed by the second Belgian Joy Couvreur.
The ladies will be in action again next Sunday. The third match is scheduled for the British Lower Drayton.
