Schmidt takes over the lead during the home game
After 13 years, the FIM Supermoto World Championship was finally back in Sankt Wendel. The Germans were able to make their celebration even bigger thanks to Marc-Reiner Schmidt. The TM rider won all three races in front of his own audience. Lukas Hollbacher (2-2-2) and Thomas Chareyre (3-4-4) were allowed to climb onto the podium. In the standings, Schmidt takes over the lead from Chareyre, the German has a 19-point lead.
There were no fewer than seven Belgians at the start and Romain Kaivers was the best in twelfth place. Kevin Viellevoye (13-14-16), Francois Corman (19-19-19) and Romeo Fiorentino (DNF-25-17) managed to get into the points. Unfortunately, Sebastien Bouillon, Nicolas Vandommele and Nils Vandeberg did not succeed, nor did the Dutchman Jeffrey Ganseman. The World Cup continues next month in Bulgaria.
