Hermans/Van den Bogaart supreme in GP Estonia!
Koen Hermans/Ben van den Bogaart have won the Estonian GP with two heat victories. World Cup leaders Vanluchene/Musset finished second twice. Justin Keuben/Dion Rietman took third place in the day's results for the first time on the WK podium.
Hermans took the holeshot in heat one and set a blistering pace only to see number two Vanluchene finish just over a minute behind them. Keuben/Rietman finished third, with Bax/Cermak coming from behind in four. The British Wilkinson/Millard then finished fifth.
Hermans/Van den Bogaart were also the boss in the second heat and with a lead of almost ten seconds they also won the second heat and therefore also the Grand Prix in Estonia. Vanluchene/Musset kept the damage limited and now finished second again. The young Latvian brothers Lielbardis took third place in the second heat, but in the overall standings this third place went to Keuben/Rietman who came in fourth in the second heat. Bax/Cermak came in fifth and will quickly want to forget the Estonian GP after finishing fourth earlier in the day and a problem with noise in the qualifying sessions that forced them back in the qualifying results a day earlier.
Vanluchene continues to hold the lead in the World Cup, but Hermans has now taken 6 points back in second place.
The World Cup battle continues next week in Poland.
