Enduro Lierneux: Magain for Willems and Damiaens
After the French competitions in Vouziers and Rocroi, the enduro riders were active again in their own country. Organizer CEESL welcomed more than 250 riders to Lierneux, including a surprising number of Dutch people who came to discover our Ardennes.
World Championship rider Antoine Magain once again showed his talents at the Inters E2, followed by Erik Willems and Dietger Damiaens. In the E1 class the win went to Dutchman Tommie Jochems followed by Tim Louis.
Dietger Damiaens: “The club had organized a very nice Enduro and I immediately felt very good here. After a very exciting battle with Erik Willems for 2nd place all day, it had to be decided in the last special. We were within the same second and did everything we could to achieve 2nd place, but unfortunately I made a small slide and ended the day in P3. Back next weekend for revenge!”
