Lukas Hollbacher wins on the asphalt
Lots of rain again during the FIM Supermoto World Championship. There was so much precipitation in Tramatza that the race management decided to ignore the unpaved track. Lukas Hollbacher was the fastest, the KTM rider (1-4-1) won ahead of Marc-Reiner Schmidt (4-1-2) and Thomas Chareyre (2-2-3). The Frenchman remains the leader in the standings, but the reigning champion follows only four points behind.
There were no fewer than five Belgians at the start and they all managed to score. Romain Kaivers (8th), Romeo Fiorentino (9th), Nils Vandeberg (17th), Francois Corman (18th) and Nicolas Vandommele (21st) scored on the island of Sardinia. The World Championship continues next month with the German Grand Prix.
