Janis Reisuli is in a class of her own in Markelo
Another perfect day for Janis Reisulis, the reigning KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross 125cc has also won the second race of the series. The Yamaha rider won both heats in Markelo despite a slide in the first heat. Kasimir Hindersson (4-2) finished second again ahead of Maximilian Werner (3-3) who was on the EMX125 podium last week in Arco di Trento.

In the training Reisulis is the fastest, but the sprint to the first corner is won by Gyan Doensen. The Limburger (photo) takes the lead ahead of Werner, Reisulis, Roan Tolsma and Douwe Vanmechgelen. The latter two come out of the first corner with more speed and push the leader back to fifth place. On the first lap Reisulis comes back to third place, but he crashes coming out of the last corner. The Yamaha rider subsequently drops back to sixth place, but then the beast emerges. Doensen and Werner distance themselves from the pursuers, but with more than five minutes left on the clock, Reisulis is back in the lead. Doensen has left Werner behind and the WZ Racing rider comes in second ahead of the German. Kasimir Hindersson and Tolsma fight for fourth place and the teenagers make it difficult for each other. This ensures that Damien Knuiman connects in the final phase, but the trio no longer changes positions.

The reaction at the starting gate is not very good, but it is Doensen who dives into the first corner first. Reisulis follows ahead of Tolsma and Knuiman, who immediately continue their duel from the first heat. Ben Algamor completes the top five but he is quickly pushed to the backfield. In the first lap Reisulis takes the lead and never relinquishes it. Doensen is able to hold on to second place for the first half of the race, but behind him a group of riders is getting closer. Tolsma, Hindersson, Werner and Knuiman do not want to be inferior to each other and that makes for great actions. The Finn Hindersson manages to get past Tolsma to take over second place halfway through the race. A little later, Werner takes over third place from Doensen, but he continues to fight until the checkered flag. However, the 15-year-old rider had to settle for fourth place, which, to his disappointment, narrowly missed the day's podium. Knuiman completes the top five in this second round at 'MC Ons Genoegen'.
