The ISDE 2023 will be held in Argentina
Following the initial announcement at the end of this year's event, the FIM and the local organizer are pleased to confirm the dates for the 2023 FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE), taking place from Monday 6 November to Saturday 11 November will take place in San Juan, Argentina.
The ninety-seventh edition of this historic off-road race will take place at the brand new Circuito San Juan Villicum, normally known for the FIM Superbike World Championship and other national circuit races. San Juan is located in western Argentina and is part of the Cuyo region. The surrounding terrain is largely covered with mountains and green valleys, ideal for enduro and, thanks to the sunny climate, also perfect for good wine production.
Argentina last held the ISDE in 2014, when San Juan was also the host city. The participants of the eighty-ninth edition have fond memories of their visit thanks to the incredible natural landscape of the area, the enduro-suitable region and the exceptional organizing committee. A completely new course is in the works for 2023, meaning those who rode here last time can also expect new terrain and trails.
In 2014, France was the winner in the World Trophy category, USA won the Junior World Trophy and Australia took home the Women's World Trophy, while the Argentinian team was strongly represented with thirteen high-level riders led by Augusto Freytes.
Among the riders officially representing the country on the occasion was 2021 Dakar Rally winner Kevin Benavides, as well as Luciano Benavides, and Franco and Stefano Caimi. Argentina was well represented in 2014 with a fifth place in both the World Trophy and the Junior World Trophy.
So the countdown to the 2023 FIM International Six Days of Enduro has officially begun, with the opening of the riders' quarters on Tuesday, October 31, ahead of the opening nations parade on Saturday, November 4 next year. Planning is already in full swing and the local organizer is looking forward to welcoming riders and teams from around the world to South America.
