Ken Roczen: “I'm really impressed with the Suzuki!”
At first it looked like Ken Roczen would sign with Firepower Honda. But the German had become too impressed with the Suzuki after some tests with the yellow machine. On PulpMX he explains why he chose the HEP Suzuki for the upcoming SX season.
"I was quite convinced (to stay with his private team Honda), but at the same time I wanted to give the Suzuki option a real chance. I didn't want to have any preconceptions, I just wanted to ride their bike. I rode for a few days and finally made the decision to go with HEP and I'm very glad I did“, said the German.
"I liked it, I wanted something new and I had a good feeling. I felt comfortable, I really like the size of the bike – it feels bigger than the Honda. I'm looking forward to working on it some more, but in terms of the foundation they gave me, I was really impressed."
The agreement between Suzuki and Roczen ultimately brings some life back to a brand that had put almost all motorsport activities on the back burner. K-Roc secretly hopes that with the deal he can put Suzuki back on the map in motocross country.
