Country singer Loretta Lynn has died
Loretta Lynn was a big name in music but also in motocross. She was a very famous country singer and had a big hit with the song Coal Miner's Daughter. In motocross circles she was best known for her Ranch, which was used as a motocross track. Lauretta Lynn passed away peacefully yesterday in the family circle.
She was also known for the hits “I'm a honky tonk girl” and “You ain't woman enough (to take my man)”. She married at 15 and as the daughter of a miner, she drew much inspiration from her young years and turbulent life. In 1982 she opened a ranch for motocross riders by building a circuit. Since then, almost every top motocross rider has competed there. AMA Nationals were organized, but the most famous race was Loretta Lynn's AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship.
Lynn had a turbulent life. Despite her husband's infidelity and alcoholism, they remained together for 48 years. They had six children together, three of which before she was 20 years old. Loretta Lynn turned 90 years old.
