MXoN RedBud: Venezuela wins B-Final
The B-Final has just been held in RedBud Michigan. It is the race that is held between the drivers of the countries that did not make it to qualifying. The country that scores best in this series will soon be able to participate in the MXoN. The win went to Team Venzuela.
The circuit now looked very different than yesterday. The umbrellas were open and the track looked wet. The holeshot went to Venezuelan Anthony Rodriguez. He fell in the first lap and had to give the lead to Brodie Conolly. Arminas Jasikonis was in fourth place at the time.
A lot was expected of the Japanese Jo Shimoda, but he had a bad start at the gate and was in twelfth place after three laps. He did not appear in the piece due to a crash. For qualifying it was between Venezuela and New Zealand. The Kiwis had two fast men in the race with Conolly (P1) and Josiah Natzke (P7). It is the points of the two best drivers that are taken into account for qualifying.
With four minutes of the match remaining, the Venezuelans had the advantage with Rodriguez and Lorenzo Locurcio. The latter took over the lead from Conolly at that time. Team Venezuela wins this B-Final for New Zealand with an equal score and will soon be able to participate in the MXoN. The broadcast starts at 19 p.m.
