The countdown to the Superbiker in Mettet has started
It is still a few weeks until the start of the 35th edition of the Elf Moto Superbiker of Mettet. On October 7, 8 and 9, 2022, the Jules Tacheny circuit will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the most important appointment on the international supermoto calendar with a special edition of the event.
The best-known pilots will be present in Mettet for a 35th edition that will be explosive, to say the least. In the Prestige category we find a number of big names on the starting list, such as defending champion Marc-Reiner Schmidt, multiple world champion Thomas Chareyre, the British Chris Hodgson and many other international specialists in the discipline. And of course also that of the Belgians Romain Kaivers and Roméo Fiorentino. Many stars will also appear at the start in the Starbiker category, with the pilots of the Man TT and Superbike champion Vincent Lonbois.
A breathtaking show
In addition to the races, the show cannot be missed this year at the Elf Moto Superbiker of Mettet. For this special 35th anniversary edition, the public will be treated to the acrobatic jumps of the best freestylers in the world, including the Belgian Julien Vanstippen, who brings a special ramp to Mettet with which he can do front flips, and the Frenchman David Tharan, a freestyle specialist at the quad.
A new music festival
This year the party will continue after the races with the very first After Race Festival. Two musical evenings for the spectators of the Elf Moto Superbiker, but also for everyone else. On Friday, Slick, Replay and Mother Cover will bring the very best hits of the past forty years back to life in the party tent from 18 p.m. to 01 a.m. On Saturday from 18 p.m. to 02 a.m. it is the DJ's turn, led by Mademoiselle Luna and DJ Ghost.
Test yourself on the Jules Tacheny circuit
Finally, three brand new challenges were set up for amateur pilots: the Mettet Junior Challenge for pilots between 10 and 14 years old who want to demonstrate themselves against the very best international specialists in supermoto, the Mettet Supermoto Vintage Challenge for pilots with a machine that predates 2004 and the Mettet Supermoto Ladies Challenge, the perfect opportunity for ladies who want to ride a 100% female race at the wheel of a TM made available by the organization.
A thousand reasons to be sure to attend this special 35th anniversary edition of the Elf Moto Superbiker de Mettet. All information available www.superbiker.com
