Is KTM angling for Jago Geerts?
The so-called “silly season” in motocross started very early this year. Radio paddock has been talking for weeks about Tom Vialle's wish to move to the US in 2023. The young Frenchman wants to try his luck over the big puddle and so a place becomes available under the KTM awning.
Although discussions are still ongoing, it seems certain that Liam Everts will be recruited to the Red Bull KTM Factory team in the MX2 class. He still has a contract until 2023 with the semi-factory team of Diga Procross and can therefore move up to the official team fairly easily.
To replace Tom Vialle, many Austrian eyes are on Jago Geerts. His contract with Hans Corvers' Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Team expires at the end of this year and so the current leader in MX2 is in KTM's sights. If the above data were correct, Geerts and Everts could compete as teammates in the MX2 class next year.
