VLM Lille: Double hit Jens Van Meer
Only 12 Inters at the start in the VLM competition at the Breugelheide. The anemia can now also be felt in the amateur federations.
1st round: Van Meer gets paid for his work
Fast starter Heikki Geens led for three laps, but was then displaced by Jordi Van Mieghem. In the background, Jens Van Meer had already started to make a strong advance. Halfway through the race, Jordi van Mieghem was in the lead ahead of Geens and Van Meer. Geens would disappear from the match shortly afterwards. Van Meer took the lead three laps from the end. Van Mieghem also had to give up on the oncoming Brent Aerden in the final phase.
2nd heat: Van Meer again
Marnick Lagrou was briefly given a taste of command, but after two rounds the youngster had to make way for Heikki Geens. Geens would lead for five laps, but then had to give up on Van Meer who had advanced from fourth to second. Van Meer won again, ahead of Geens and Lagrou.
Jens Van Meer was also the logical winner at the Inters 500 ahead of Jordi and Arno Van Mieghem. In the quarter liters the overall victory went to Marnick Lagrou ahead of Brent Aerden and Kevin Schellens.
Next week VLM will compete in the Pentecost Trophy in Lommel
