Rick Elzinga on the side with engine trouble
In Maggiora, Rick Elzinga has lost the lead in the European 250cc Championship to Cornelius Toendel. The Norwegian won while Elzinga only scored in the first round. The Hutten Metaal Yamaha rider finished seventh, but he did not finish the second heat. Due to an electronic problem, the rider from Zenderen had to watch Toendel cross the finish line in second place. Fortunately, no injuries for the leader in the KNMV Dutch Masters of Motocross 250cc.
The difference in the EMX250 is now 17 points, the championship will continue next weekend in Riola Sardo.
