Jeffrey Herlings has to stay aside this summer
The reigning MXGP world champion will no longer be in action this summer. The condition of his injury is not such that he can think about competing again.
A few weeks before the start of the GPs, Herlings broke his heel during a photo shoot and had to undergo surgery. Healing is a lot slower than expected and so the goals need to be adjusted. He will also not make it to the start of the AMA Pro Motocross competition over the big lake.
Yesterday Herlings tested the engine and despite good speed it quickly became clear that competition is not an option at the moment. The Bullet is now focusing on his recovery, becoming pain-free and preparing for 2023.
