Lupino admitted to a Portuguese hospital
Alessandro Lupino has not yet had much success this season. He broke a metacarpal bone in Maggiora last month during the Italian Championship. Now the Beta rider is in hospital after an operation on his appendix. Last weekend the former 85cc World Champion felt increasingly worse, but he thought it was a virus. On Sunday evening he decided to have himself examined and it turned out to be appendicitis.
This has now been removed and hopefully Lupino can travel home again soon.
