Elzinga takes the first heat in Mantova
As a favorite you still have to live up to it and Rick Elzinga has done that! The Yamaha rider won the first moto after a poor start but then got into a good rhythm. David Braceras comes second ahead of Jorgen-Matthias Talviku. A nice debut from Hakon Osterhagen, he finished fourth ahead of Oriol Oliver.
With thirteenth place, Raf Meuwissen scores his first points of the season. This also applies to Dave Kooiker (18th) and Sacha Coenen (19th). Unfortunately, Wesly Dieudonne does not score, nor does Jens Walvoort, while Lucas Coenen does not finish.
The second heat will be held tomorrow morning, which will happen at 10:30 am and hopefully Elzinga can repeat this trick again?
