De Wolf and Van de Moosdijk about their first match
The first match of the new season went well for Kay de Wolf and Roan van de Moosdijk. In Lacapelle Marival, De Wolf won both heats ahead of his new teammate. Both Brabanders tell their story here after the match in the south of France.
Kay de Wolf:
"It was a beautiful day! I took pole position and I had the best start in the first moto. I was in the lead for the entire race. The driving went well and I really enjoyed it. I also enjoyed the second round with great pleasure. Once again the best start and the race controlled. The circuit is very technical but has a lot of grip, which also gives confidence. In the 'SuperFinale' I came third against the MX1 riders. I tried for a while to get into second place, but I lost out to the 450F bikes. Later in the race I lost my third place but I am very satisfied, it was a good day!”
Roan Van De Moosdijk:
“It was a really positive day, I immediately felt good on the track and on the bike. The motos were great too. It felt like we were training with Kay, it was just like last month in Spain. We know we are on the right track and it was really nice to feel the bike on race day. We still have a pre-season event to go and then the World Cup Season starts again!”
