Adrien Van Beveren starts in Le Touquet
The mother of all beach races is on the menu next weekend. The Enduropale du Touquet is back after a year's hiatus. And it is none other than former winner Adrien Van Beveren who will participate.
Van Beveren has said goodbye to beach racing for a while now to fully focus on the Dakar Rally. But his love for the Enduro is so great that this year he chooses to ride on this great beach again.
Adrien Van Beveren: “I want to be very clear! There is no goal for an achievement or result. I have been 5% committed to Dakar Rally for 100 years now and these are two completely different categories. I am not at all ready to compete for a result, but to have a lot of fun in the sand.”
Last week it was also announced that Yamaha will withdraw from the Dakar Rally as a factory team. Adrien van Beveren and Andrew Short finished fourth and eighth respectively on the brand during the last edition. They will therefore have to find other solutions before 2023.
