Kim Savaste is no longer active as a motocross rider
It was a difficult decision for Kim Savaste but the Finn has decided to end his active career. After a very successful youth career, the 21-year-old crosser failed to make a breakthrough at the highest level. In 2014, Savaste won the 85cc Youth World Championship in Belgium, but injuries subsequently hampered him. For example, the Helsinki-born rider broke his back twice during the Motocross of Nations, meaning he was unable to score well again the following season.
Last season Savaste played for the Otto Racing Team but he only managed to score one point. The exact plans for the future are not yet known, but the rider would like to remain active in the sport.
