Herlings about the crash with Prado
The clash between Jeffrey Herlings and Jorge Prado has now been widely discussed. The Spaniard won the first heat but did not compete again later in the afternoon. Fortunately, Herlings was at the start in the second heat. Herlings finished third and saw Tim Gajser regain the lead in the standings. Here the 27-year-old rider talks about the incident with Prado.
Jeffrey Herlings:
"We all know that Jorge is a difficult rider to overtake. He always defends his line well and there is nothing wrong with that, but jumping all the way from left to right on the finish hump was certainly not necessary. My knee suffered a blow during the fall and it is now also swollen. The circuit here in Teutschenthal is not my favorite track, but we started strong in the timed training. If I had finished third here in the daily rankings, it would have been good for me too. I am satisfied and in seven days we will be a lot fitter again."
