Shana van der Vlist puts the crown on her work in EMX Women
Championship leader Shana van der Vlist needed a third and second place today in Denmark to win the EMX Women title. The 22-year-old from Appeldoorn has now achieved success after European vice titles in 2018 and 2019.
Denmark's Sara Andersen piloted her KTM to victory in both motos. A nice home win for Andersen. Lynn Valk, winner last weekend during the French EMX round, finished third today (2-3) after Van der Vlist. For Shana, 2021 is already all about the absolute breakthrough. Last month she won the GP of Lommel. In the WMX World Championship standings, she is currently even in the lead ahead of reigning world champion Courtney Duncan.
Kimberley Braam, the third Dutch lady to ride in Denmark, did not score in heat one but finished seventh in the second heat.
