De Waal goes all the way, Krestinov wins
A great catch-up race ensures that Micha Boy de Waal can climb onto the podium in Kegums. The BT Racing rider finished fourth and second at the Motocenter Zelta Zirgs. Gert Krestinov wins both heats, making him the fourth winner in as many races!
In addition to Krestinov and De Waal, Davide De Bortoli can climb onto the podium. The Italian thus increases his lead in the standings to seven points. De Waal (photo) rises to third place in the standings, 29 points behind the leader.

While De Waal immediately closes the door on Haavisto, it is Krestinov who comes out of the first corner as the leader. De Waal follows ahead of Haavisto, who immediately attacks and takes over second place. However, De Waal comes back, but then Krestinov already has a lead of almost three seconds. De Bortoli started the race in sixth place but quickly moved up to fourth place while Dercourt outside the top was fighting for every place.
In the second half of the match, De Waal managed to reduce some of his deficit. The rider from Veen in Brabant tries to find the connection, but he makes a mistake and ends up next to the circuit. Krestinov's lead increases to twelve seconds and he dominates this heat. Haavisto comes second ahead of De Bortoli, who is doing well in the title battle. De Waal crosses the finish line in fourth ahead of Emil Silander who tries to pass De Waal but he doesn't let that happen. Kay Ebben scores four points, finishing 17th, while Galvin MX Team colleague Jordy van Orsouw scores two points with 19th place.

The best start now goes to De Bortoli who takes the lead ahead of Krestinov. In the first corner De Waal crashes and takes Jaavisto with him. The Finn does not reach the finish, but De Waal then takes a good seat! Krestinov takes the lead on the first lap but then makes a mistake. De Bortoli is able to regain the lead for a while, but then it is the 31-year-old rider who controls the race.
The KMP Honda rider wins ahead of De Waal, who shows a great catch-up race. He keeps going and with that effort he manages to finish second in this competition and in the daily rankings. Dercourt crosses the finish line in third place, regaining points lost to De Bortoli. The Italian finished fourth ahead of Silander, who finished fifth in both heats. Jaap Janssen now scores, he crosses the finish line in 15th and Van Orsouw again takes 17th place.
