TeamNL for the Youth World Cup in Greece
The KNMV announces its selection for the FIM Junior Motocross World Championship. Due to the corona pandemic, this year is different than in other years. Because no European Championship competitions could be organized in the 65cc and 85cc classes last year, it was not possible to apply criteria with which a selection for the World Championship could be made. That is why it was decided to organize a special event for the 65, 85 and 125cc classes on the Lelystad circuit.
Training and competitions could be held on this circuit using the World Cup set-up. The results of this event were added to the results that the riders could achieve in the ONK competitions in Delfzijl. With regard to the 125cc class, the competition in the English Matterley Basin was also taken into account, with the two competitions being counted as criteria. In this way, we believe we have correctly arrived at the best selection for the World Cup in Greece.
The following participants have been selected for the Youth World Cup in Greece:
Class 65cc:
Dean Gregoire
Dex van den Broek
Reserve: Jenairo Beerens
Class 85cc:
Mick Kennedy
Lotte van Drunen
Reserve: Gyan Doensen
Class 125cc:
Kay Karssemakers
Ivano van Erp
Reserve: Cas Valk, Scott Smulders
The FIM Junior Motocross World Championship will be held on July 31 and August 1 at the Megalopolis circuit in Greece.
