After so many second places, the Swiss wants the highest this year, but then he has to pass the class leaders Gajser, Cairoli, Herlings and Prado. Coldenhoff moved to Yamaha last winter and is trying to climb a step higher through the brand with the crossed tuning forks. Ben Watson is used to the Yamaha but now has to deal with an extra 200cc after switching from the MX2 class to the MXGP.
