Micha-Boy De Waal wins MX1 in Blargies
The Dutch teams were not only successful in Blargies in MX2. Micha-Boy De Waal immediately gave BT Racing Team the highest podium in their season debut. Thanks to a 2-1 score, he takes the overall victory ahead of Kevin Fors (3-2).
Teammate Jorgen-Matthias Talviku finished 4th in the MX2, but De Waal did even better in the MX1. Kevin Fors was also at the front all day. He finished just behind De Waal in every race but had to leave second place in the final standings to Nicolas Dercourt, former EMX125 vice-champion.
Fors was not the only Belgian who caught the spotlight. Lichtervelde's Emilio Vannieuwenhuyze saw his regularity rewarded with an excellent sixth place. Ryan Bonnewijn sent his Yamaha to P8 (9-8).
