Jo Shimoda makes history
Last weekend Jo Schimoda managed to shine in Salt Lake City. The Kawasaki rider won the eighth round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship 250SX East Coast. The 18-year-old rider will also go down as the first Japanese with a Supercross victory in the USA!
“I would like to thank my Monster Energy-Pro Circuit-Kawasaki Team for the great bike I received. That of course helped me achieve this victory. I would like to thank my family in Japan, it is very special to get this victory and know that they are watching at home. I came to the USA for my own purpose and dream. It's special to win here, that's why I came here and left my family behind. The riding went very well today, I'm happy with the victory and I'm really looking forward to the grand finale!”
