Clochet wins both heats, Kutsar finishes
The fourth match of the European Open Championship was won by Jimmy Clochet. The tall Frenchman managed to win both heats on the Arco di Trento circuit. Davide De Bortoli finished second in both heats and therefore also second in the daily rankings ahead of Toms Macuks (4-4). Karel Kutsar had some problems in the first round, meaning he only finished ninth. The Estonian finishes third in the second round, meaning he is three points ahead of Kim Savaste today. The Finn (5-8) is now twelve points behind the leader.
Mike Bolink scores both rounds, adding 17 points to his total. Rob Windt only scores in the first heat and Damian Wedage takes the last point in the second heat.

Dan Thornhill takes the best start in the first heat ahead of Clochet and De Bortoli. In the first lap, Clochet takes the lead and then the BUD Racing driver takes distance to control the race. De Bortoli quickly takes second place from Thornhill but the leader is out of the picture. In the final phase, De Bortoli crashes briefly, but he still manages to cross the finish line in second place. Cornelius Toendel takes third place, the Norwegian managed to work his way forward ahead of Macuks and Savaste, both of whom are not in the race. The same applies to the leader in the standings because Kutsar gets into trouble too often in this heat. With ninth place he remains the leader in the standings, but Savaste follows only five points. Windt is the best Dutchman, the Mulders Motoren KTM rider crosses the finish line in twelfth place. Bolink on the WPM-KTM scores six points by crossing the finish line in fifteenth.
2e some
Clochet immediately took the lead in the second moto and the Kawasaki rider never looked back. De Bortoli follows in second place ahead of Kutsar, Bolink and Thornhill. The top three remains the same for the rest of the race, but Bolink drops back and finishes tenth. Macuks also crosses the finish line in fourth place in this round and the Czech Martin Michek completes the top five. Wedage crosses the finish line in 20th and Windt is 21st.
The fifth race will be held next Tuesday and again in Arco di Trento.
