No serious injury for Jago Geerts after training crash
Yesterday, ominous reports trickled in about Jago Geerts, who allegedly fell during a training session in Olmen. He immediately went to the hospital in Herentals for X-rays because there were fears of a broken collarbone. Fortunately this was not the case. Geerts is currently 21 points behind Tom Vialle in the MX2 world championship.
He provided more text and explanation via social media this afternoon. Jago Geerts: "Hey guys. Yesterday I fell during a motorcycle training in Olmen. Because I had pain in my left shoulder, I feared a fracture of my collarbone. After examination in the Herentals hospital by specialist Tom Claes, it turned out that I had not suffered a fracture. The pain has subsided in the meantime, but my shoulder did take a big hit. The next few days I will be treated by a physiotherapist. Together we will do everything we can to get to the start in Mantova as best as possible. "
A new triptych of the Motocross World Championship will start on Sunday, September 27 in Mantova, Italy. Three MXGPs will be held in one week.
